Publications.

We make books that extend an exhibition’s research and give artists’ ideas a life beyond the gallery rooms.

Open art books arranged beside a stone vase and palm leaf

The publishing desk develops four titles in a typical year: exhibition catalogues, a long-form monograph and an occasional volume devoted to correspondence, writing or material from the residency archive.

Catalogues include commissioned essays, installation images and full works information. Monographs are assembled over a longer period, drawing on studio visits and the artist’s archive before the visual design begins.

Printing is completed in Hanover on stocks selected for each project. New and backlist titles can be found at both galleries and through a small group of independent art bookshops.
