Artist residencies.

The Norrtälje house offers artists an uninterrupted season to research, test ideas and work without a required outcome.

Artist drawing at an easel in a working studio filled with paintings

Three times a year, the residency house in Norrtälje welcomes a small group of artists. Each participant receives a daylight studio, straightforward accommodation, a monthly stipend and support for materials during the three-month stay.

Invited international artists work alongside members of the gallery programme, with no final exhibition or finished body of work expected. Shared meals happen twice a week; the rest of the schedule belongs to the residents.

The annual open call appears in October for the following year. Visiting places are reviewed by the curatorial team together with an independent reader, with decisions sent in February.
