Ren Ishida works at a scale that draws viewers close. Fine cables and brass joints remain visible behind each bronze: a shoulder shifts, a wing rises, a face turns by a fraction. The slightness of each action makes the mechanics feel more attentive than theatrical.

The Stockholm installation forms a loose procession through the ground-floor rooms. It concludes with Low Weather, a four-channel composition assembled from evening recordings of tools, ventilation and cooling metal in the artist’s workshop.

Small Motions is Ishida’s first solo presentation in Scandinavia. It follows two years of conversation with the gallery, a residency in Norrtälje and an extended visit to the artist’s foundry.
