Work After Midnight connects five painters from Oslo, Bergen, Reykjavík and Glasgow through a shared studio habit: each begins when the rest of the city has gone quiet. Their approaches differ, but the alertness of those late hours runs through every work.

Thirty-two paintings and works on paper follow the curve of the main Oslo room beneath a spare line of spotlights. Figures emerge, recede and return as the installation moves between dense colour and near-darkness. Several pieces began during spring stays at the Norrtälje residency.

The gallery remains open until 20:00 each Thursday during the exhibition. Participating artists join the first and closing evenings for informal conversations in the rooms.
